Westham Island Bridge, Right Side
$115.00 – $497.00Canvas 1.5-inch Gallery WrapFine Art Paper Print OnlyClear16x2424x36 In 2021, I illustrated Westham Island Bridge, Left Side, which is still, to date, my most popular image ever. Because I named it – Left Side, my friends and customers teased me – so where’s the right side? So, a year after I completed illustrating the first bridge, I illustrated this: Westham Island Bridge, Right Side. The left side is more serene and tranquil, while this right side is grittier, more industrial and harder-lined. The bridge and its famous peeling turquoise paint evokes such fond memories for locals and is so iconic to this region of Delta, on the west coast of British Columbia.

Heading Home
$95.00 – $430.00Canvas 1.5-inch Gallery WrapFine Art Paper Print OnlyClear12x2418x36This illustration is based on a few images I captured of the sunset outside of Speed’s Pub in Ladner British Columbia in March of 2023. Heading Home, Harbourside Sunset, depicts a small boat heading West at sunset in the Chilcotin Slough. In the background is the well recognized Wharfinger House of Ladner Harbour. The sun setting through the Poplar trees of Harbour Park light up the background and river reflections with hues of orange, pink and yellow. Silhouettes are created of pilings and a small boat with a single passenger, heading home. This illustration is dedicated to the memory of René, who was a solo traveller in the world and a constant presence around the river front in Ladner, BC. for many years.

Harbourside Banner
$107.00 – $432.00Canvas 1.5-inch Gallery WrapFine Art Paper Print OnlyClear12x3016x40This illustration was initially designed to enter Delta’s street banner competition in 2021. It was one of the first illustrations I completed. It depicts the essence of the little riverside town of Ladner. The Native Dawn fishing boat is moored to the docks in front of the red wharfinger’s house in Harbour Park while a Barred owl looks over the scene and a mute swan gracefully paddles along through the river’s reflection. I used a bold colour palette of red, green and blue to create a sense of both childlike whimsy and warmth.

The forest of tall Poplar trees are stunning dressed their vibrant yellow leaves of late Fall. They frame the radiant red of the Wharfinger house perfectly. The timely ‘slack water’ current of Chilcotin Slough offers the perfect river reflection.

Belted Kingfisher Looks On features one of our favourite winged river dwellers, the Belted Kingfisher, perched on a piling near a patch of Black Eyed Susans, watching its beloved river territory just across from the wharfs of Harbourside in Ladner, British Columbia. A colour palette of turquoise, yellow and fishing boat off-whites create the warmth of a sunny summer day, enjoyed along the banks of the South Arm of the Fraser River.

Blue Dodge Van
$47.00 – $247.00Canvas 1.5-inch Gallery WrapFine Art Paper Print OnlyClear12x1218x18Blue Dodge Van by the Seven Seas Fish Co. Ltd. Art Print Ladner, British Columbia. Mountain Trips and Trips to Vancouver Island Started in Ricks Van. For many years, our friend Rick used to park his Blue Dodge Van outside the Seven Seas Fish Co. Ltd. along the river in Ladner, British Columbia when it wasn’t in use. This van was reserved for mountain ski trips and trips to Vancouver Island to visit Rick’s children. It was a beauty of a van! The Seven Seas Fish Co. Ltd. was demolished about 2 years ago to make way for some harbour beautification projects (that, to be honest, we’re still waiting for), and I haven’t seen Rick or his van since about then either. Metallic blues, sky blue, and the metal grey of the old fish processing building make up this colour palette.

Wharfinger Shed Harbourside
$47.00 – $247.00Canvas 1.5-inch Gallery WrapFine Art Paper Print OnlyClear12x1218x18In Harbour Park, across the Chilcotin Slough from Ladner the Wharfinger House is quite the landmark. Behind this house is Wharfinger Shed in the same brilliant red as the house. I love this slightly messy summer scene with potted flowers, wheelbarrow, and white picket fence complete with marine life ring. The  boat harbour that the Wharfinger resides over is in the background. Red, green, and white make up this summer day palette.
